At Hear and Say, we know that hearing loss can present unique challenges for children and their families. Our Resilience and Wellbeing Programs are designed to support emotional health, personal growth, and social development, helping children not just to succeed, but to thrive.
For children with hearing loss, these programs combine learning, skill-building, and fun.
They focus on developing abilities that are essential for:
Meet the children, families, and adults whose journey with Hear and Say show the power of hearing, listening and speaking.
Our programs give children the opportunity to learn more about their hearing loss and the technology they use. Understanding their hearing devices, how to advocate for themselves, and how to manage listening in different environments helps children feel more independent and capable.
Many children benefit from knowing they are not alone. By connecting with peers who share similar experiences, children gain a sense of belonging and mutual understanding. This peer support, combined with guided skill-building by our experienced staff, fosters confidence and resilience in a safe and nurturing environment.
Supporting a child with hearing loss goes beyond the therapy room. Our parent education programs provide practical strategies, insights, and guidance to help families support their child’s communication, social, and emotional development at home and in the community.
Our programs are tailored to the child’s age and developmental stage, ensuring that activities are both engaging and appropriate:
