Our aim is to reduce barriers to care so you feel confident in taking the next step towards improving hearing, speech and communication. The cost of your appointment depends on the service type.
Below is a guide to our most common appointments:
All fees are indicative and will be confirmed when you book your appointment. If you see one of our therapists regularly, costs will be included in your Service Agreement so you know what to expect across the year.
Invoices are issued for each appointment
Payment is due on the day (unless otherwise arranged under NDIS)
As a charity, Hear and Say relies on the generosity of our community, government, and philanthropic partners to provide life-changing services.
We never want cost to prevent someone from accessing support. If you are concerned about fees, our team will work with you to explore funding pathways and find a way forward.
Hear and Say is a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), with many of our services eligible for funding.
We support families at every stage of their NDIS journey — from applying for the first time, to preparing for planning meetings, to making the most of their funding.
How payments work:
Some services at Hear and Say are eligible for Medicare rebates. When booking your appointment, our team will let you know if a rebate applies and explain any out-of-pocket costs.
If a referral from your GP or specialist is required, we’ll guide you through the process.
Depending on your level of cover, you may be able to claim a rebate through your private health fund.
This often includes:
Because every policy is different, we recommend checking with your health fund to confirm what is included.
Hear and Say is accredited under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program to provide fully subsidised hearing services and hearing aids to eligible pensioners and veterans.
Our team can help you check your eligibility and explain how the program works.
