Online speech therapy

Telepractice enables families to access specialist services regardless of location. Hear and Say was one of the first organisations in Australia to introduce this approach, and we have continued to refine and lead in delivering therapy online.

How TeleHealth works

Using secure, straightforward videoconferencing technology, our therapists deliver high-quality care directly to your home, childcare centre, kindergarten, or school. This removes the need for travel and provides greater flexibility for families.

Online sessions are tailored to meet the needs of each child or family. Telepractice also encourages parents and caregivers to actively participate in therapy, supporting stronger engagement and outcomes within familiar environments.

Pioneers in telepractice: Hear and Say was among the first in Australia to deliver therapy online, drawing on years of experience to ensure sessions are effective and family-friendly.

Online sessions for children

Listening and Spoken Language and Speech Pathology

Telepractice sessions for children are designed to be engaging and effective. Our therapists use interactive, play-based activities such as reading, singing, puzzles, or craft to encourage participation. Incorporating familiar items from home also helps families continue supporting their child’s development between appointments.

Each session typically includes:
  • A discussion about your child’s progress since the last visit.
  • Play-based activities tailored to your child’s listening, speech, and language goals.
  • Practical coaching and support for parents and caregivers.

Telepractice Camp

An Intensive Program for Families Across Queensland. Telepractice Camp brings families from regional and remote Queensland to Brisbane for a three-day program. Children develop skills in communication, social engagement, and academic confidence, while families connect with others on the same journey. This camp combines therapy, learning, and fun in a supportive, family-centred environment.
